To welcome us the sea, the long white beaches and a very blue sky. And then again the wild jungle, the smell of frangipani that mixes with that of saltiness, the new roads and nobody that rings the horn. A few fearless mice peep through the bushes, and the cats are a little too sleepy to hunt them down.

It’s the first time that the border crossing is so easy: no request for extra money, no control, no slowdown, no horseflies, no bad weather, no mileage files of tourists, nothing.
Only a smiling young clerk checking if we have compiled everything, some soldiers who greets us, a professional customs officer, and a lady who apologizes for having stepped on our feet.

Franco, the owner of the Resort doesn’t want us to pay for the night we spent in his little bungalow by the sea. “It’s a gift” he says. “I want to be part of your cycling trip around the world” he adds.
We don’t believe our ears. The eyes are filled with tears of joy, and the heart of gratitude.
This Thailand, in just one day, has already given us so much! ☀️🙏😊
