Indian catholic churc and chinese restorant hospitality in Malaysia

In Bagan Serai we’re welcomed by an indian catholic community, and we have the opportunity to put the tent behind the church rectory. We cannot decline the invitation to the evening mass, where the faithful receive us with lovely smiles and handshakes.

The next night we ask for hospitality to the owner of a chinese restaurant: she offered us tea and some baozi (steamed sandwiches with meat and vegetables) and the loft of the restaurant kitchen which is in front of a chinese bhuddhist temple.

Traveling in Malaysia gives us the opportunity to know and live in completely different social contexts, well integrated and respectful of each other.

Traveling means meeting other cultures, sharing other ways of being, listening to other languages; traveling means breaking down barriers and one’s mental opinions; traveling means searching for the magical randomness of events and enjoying them, bringing them memory ☀️🙏😊
