The Great Wall of China was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, and later included among the seven wonders of the modern world.
We don’t like the points of interest of mass tourism, crowded and unlivable. But we didn’t even want to give up discovering this site of historical relevance and architectural grandeur.
So we decide to visit a less known section: the Great Wall of Yanmenguan which is located on the Yanmen Mountain. The pass, also called the Wild Goose Pass for the migration of geese on these mountains, is considered one of the most important steps of the Great Wall.
All around nature reigns supreme, silent and wild, respectful and rebellious. Countless lives made this work possible, and countless times we must be grateful.
Be silent. Be respectful. ☀️🙏💛
