The views that accompany us in these early days of China are very similar to those left in Mongolia: dry steppe and snow-capped mountains, sand and pastures of cattle, vast expanses of land furrowed by paved roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are some small differences that however upset the whole thing. The fields are fenced and the animals live in a situation of “fake freedom”. The skyline is interrupted by continuous pylons and wind turbines: there is not a piece of free horizon. Everywhere there is trash and plastic, lots of plastic. The feeling is that the Earth, all around, is exploited, dusted, and abandoned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We ride on these incredulous lands, broken and aware, compassionate and trusting, respectful, rebellious. The World is a wonderful place, and it’s worth rebelling, it’s worth fighting, it’s worth living more intensely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
